Are there other Car Sharing organizations?

It is estimated that there are over 100,000 car sharers in Europe.

In Canada, there are several other car sharing co-operatives or companies.  The first in North America is the one set up in Québec City, called CommunAuto.  This same group also operates in Montréal, Sherbrooke, and Gatineau.  Autoshare is in Toronto, and in BC there are several other co-ops:

• in Victoria called the Victoria Car Share Co-op (250-995-0265) and
• in the Kootenays called the Kootenay Carshare Co-op (250-354-1909)
• in Smithers called GO₂ Carshare (250-877-6030)
• in the Cowichan Valley called the Cowichan Car Share (250-748-8506)

We have roaming agreements with Victoria and the Kootenays, as well as Halifax and the San Francisco Bay Area!

The Car Co-op is the first English speaking car co-op in the world!
